In Projector, you can export your story as a Video, GIF, Image, or PDF. In the Export menu, you’ll notice your export options are optimized based on the format you selected for your story and the visual assets you added to each scene. For pre-set story formats, your export is automatically set to the highest resolution.

Exporting your story as a video

If your story contains one of the following, you can export it as a video:

  • More than one scene in your story

  • A video, GIF, or sticker in your scene

  1. Select your story format.

    1. Note: Stories with the print format cannot be exported as a single video. Scenes containing a video, GIF, or sticker can be exported individually as a video.

  2. In the Editor, click on the Export button at the top right of the App Bar and select Video.

  3. Adjust the timing of each scene or transition by clicking on the time underneath each scene, and typing in your desired length of time.

  4. Customize the quality of your exported story by adjusting the resolution on the right-hand side.

  5. To preview your story before you export, press the play button at the center of the scene on the left-hand side.

  6. Once you've customized your export options, click Create video.

  7. You'll have the option to copy the link to your export to share with other people, as well as download your file directly.

Exporting your story as a GIF

If your story contains one of the following, you can export it as a GIF:

  • GIF story format with more than one scene in your story

  • Custom story format with a video, GIF, or sticker

  1. Select a GIF story format.

  2. In the Editor, click on the Export button at the top right of the App Bar and select GIF.

  3. Adjust the timing of each scene or transition by clicking on the time underneath each scene, and typing in your desired length of time.

  4. Customize the resolution and frame rate on the right-hand side.

  5. To preview your story before you export, press the play button at the center of the scene on the left-hand side.

  6. Once you've customized your export, click Create GIF.

  7. You'll have the option to copy the link to your export to share with other people, as well as download your file directly.

Exporting your story as a set of images & videos

When you export a story as a set of images & videos, you’ll receive a zip file containing each scene as its own file. This supports the ability to work on different scenes and projects (with a variety of mixed media or mixed assets) in one story and export them as separate files. You'll also be able to see how each scene will be exported with the respective icon located at the bottom right of each scene in the export window.

You can export your story as a set of images and videos if your story has both of following:

  • More than one scene in your story

  • A video, GIF, or sticker in your scene

  1. Select your story format.

  2. In the Editor, click on the Export button at the top right of the App Bar and select Images & Videos.

  3. Preview your story on the left-hand side of the Export menu, and use the checkboxes at the top left of each scene to choose to export the entire story, a specific scene, or a range of scenes.

  4. The preview will also display the export file type at the bottom right of each scene.

  5. For videos, adjust the timing of each scene or transition by clicking on the time underneath each scene, and typing in your desired length of time.

  6. Customize the resolution on the right-hand side.

  7. Once you’re done, click Create images & videos.

  8. You will have the option to copy the link to your export to share with other people, as well as download your zip file which holds each scene as a separate file.

Exporting your story as a set of images

When you export a story as a set of images, you will receive a zip file containing each scene as its own file. If you only have one scene in your story, you will receive one image file.

You can export your story as an image if your story contains only static elements.

  1. Select your story format.

  2. In the Editor, click on the Export button at the top right of the App Bar and select Images.

  3. Preview your story on the left-hand side of the Export menu, and use the checkboxes at the top left of each scene to choose to export the entire story, a specific scene, or a range of scenes.

  4. Customize the resolution on the right-hand side.

  5. Once you’re done, click Create images.

  6. You will have the option to copy the link to your export to share it with other people, as well as download your zip file which holds each scene as a separate file.

Exporting your story as a PDF

You can export your story as a PDF in the following formats:

  • Presentation story format

  • Print story format

  • Custom story format

  1. Select a Presentation or Print story format, or customize your own.

  2. In the Editor, click on the Export button at the top right of the App Bar and select PDF.

  3. Preview your story on the left-hand side of the Export menu. If your story has multiple scenes, use the checkboxes at the top left of each scene to choose to export the entire story, a specific scene, or a range of scenes.

  4. Select your resolution, and click Create PDF.

  5. You will have the option to copy the link to your export to share with other people, as well as download your file directly.

Exporting a story with custom dimensions

If you used custom dimensions to create your story, you can export it in any format.

If your story contains one of the following and is not a print format, you can export it as a video:

  • More than one scene in your story

  • A video, GIF, or sticker in your scene

If your story contains one of the following, you can export it as a GIF:

  • GIF story format with more than one scene in your story

  • Custom story format with a video, GIF, or sticker

You can export your story as a set of images and videos if it has both of following:

  • More than one scene in your story

  • A video, GIF, or sticker in your scene

You can export your story as a PDF with the following formats:

  • Presentation story format

  • Print story format

  • Custom story format

Adjust the timing of a GIF or video

Each export format has different export settings. For GIFs and videos, you can customize the scene length and transition timing.

In the Export menu, adjust the timing of each scene or transition by clicking on the time underneath each scene, and typing in your desired time length. Time is shown in seconds. You can see the total duration of the story on the right-hand side of the Export menu.
